A Beautiful Backstory

We called her PinkMagic, and she has quite the story.

My parents had been traveling full-time on the road for years when my dad got cancer for the second time. Shortly after he died in 2013, my mom purchased a 2013 T@B Teardrop trailer. My dad told her in his final days, "Don't grieve for me in black, it's not your color. Wear pink instead." She took that sentiment to heart and had her new T@B and her car painted in a beautiful shade of pink. This way my dad could "find her" out on the road as she continued traveling, minus the love of her life.

I spent about 6 months criss-crossing the country with my mom to support her in (our) grief and to honor my dad. After our time together, she spent the next ten years living and traveling full-time in her T@B, sharing her love story with everyone she met (and even made a documentary about it!). Eventually, people were invited to sign her trailer with the names of their loved ones. A decade later, COVID changed everything and my mom came to Connecticut to live with family, completing her full-time travels. Three years later, I went through a major life change, moving from AZ to CT, and needed a temporary place to stay. It became my home and a cocoon for healing and respite. In other words, the history of this magic trailer packs quite the punch.

Now, it's time for her next chapter.
I am currently in the process of renovating PinkMagic, breathing new life into her as a flower truck! She will forever carry the stories of her travels, stories that created laughter, smiles, tears, and hope. Moving forward, those stories will include flowers, and I know my dad would be smiling ear to ear.
